The Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARRF) industry has experienced several vehicle rollovers in recent years. Emergency One Corporation and Davis Technologies, of Dallas, TX, collectively developed a prototype hydraulic suspension strut that replaces the standard shock absorber. This strut is intended to attenuate undesirable vehicle dynamics, thereby significantly reducing the potential for rollover. This evaluation compares the performance of the standard to the prototype suspension system.
