The analysis of the inspection program operated by the Ohio Highway Patrol is the first evaluation by the staff of the Legislative Service Commission. While the evaluation should prove useful to the finance committees which must determine the level of funding of various state programs, a major purpose was to help the Legislative Service Commission members decide whether staff should be directed to provide such program reviews on a full-time basis.
