An overview of the research on overall concept of operation of H-2 Orbiting Plane (HOPE) is presented. Factors required for overall HOPE operation were deemed to be flight, safety to protect human life, flight control and flight safety at a speed of Mach 25, flight control and re-entry for from deorbiting to the re-entry point, landing guidance after re-entry to atmosphere, and flight operation system more reliable than HOPE are explained. A series of maneuver such as separation from orbit, re-entry to the atmosphere, flight control maneuver for landing, and returning to and landing on the landing site are also described.
