The report describes the development of a program which can be used to identify candidate sections of highway which warrant the addition of exclusive truck facilities. The program will evaluate the feasibility of constructing these facilities in the median area. The I-35 corridor from Dallas to San Antonio was used as a case study to illustrate the use of the program. Present and future traffic conditions were considered in the evaluation of the impacts of separating trucks from the main stream of traffic.
