The proposed project will include: land acquisition for navigation easements, extension, lighting and marking of runway 4-22 (1500 x 150 ft.) and parallel taxiway (3600 x 75 ft.); overlay and marking of runway 4-22 (6000 x 150 ft.) and parallel taxiway (7600 x 75 ft.); groove runway 4-22 (7600 x 150 ft.); construct taxiway to new hangar area (1650 x 40ft.); construct and light new terminal apron (approximately 150,000 sq. yds.); terminal area safety fence; localizer relocation; obstruction removal, marking and lighting and engineering for airport layout plan (see Enclosure E-5). The purpose of the project is to provide adequate runway length and gate positions to accomodate the aircraft which will serve the airport, DC-10's and B-727-200's. The passenger traffic generated at this location will require additional gate positions and terminal apron. All other work is related to or is a result of these two portions of the proposed project. There are no identifiable adverse environmental effects resulting from the development proposed by this project because advance attnetion to all social and ecological systems fostered conception of an overall plan which not only prevented further environmental damage but actually improved conditions in many ways.
