The command and control subsystem associated with the conduct of fire support is examined within a defined 1975-1985 amphibious assault environment. The study developed qualitative and quantitative description of the information flow and the processes required and organization involved in accomplishing the command and control function for a Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) operation.
