This study investigates and evaluates Mini-RPV recovery concepts potentially suitable for the U.S. Army tactical environment. The air vehicle on which the recovery study is based is the U.S. Army/Lockheed Aquila, XMQM-105 Mini-RPV at a nominal gross weight of 120 pounds. A hypothetical RPV counterpart at 200 pounds gross weight is also used to bound the upper weight limit for Mini-RPVs.
