This report, conducted by Moffatt and Nichol International, Inc., was funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The study concerns The Southern Seaboard Development Project, considered to be a vital part of the Thai Government's economic development strategy. The project concept involves creating an intermodal connection between the two deep sea ports of Thai Muang Inlet on the West Coast and Khanom/Sichon on the East Coast. The connection will involve a new highway, rail links and a crude oil pipeline.
