The process by which aerospace technology can be understood and used by city personnel is being tested through the Totem One Technology Transfer Program in Tacoma, Washington. The purposes of bringing aerospace technologists to Tacoma are to determine if aerospace technology can be applied to attain productivity gains in the delivery of municipal services and to find out what techniques can be used which foster the understanding and use of technology in the operation of municipal government.
