A computer model which simulates the processes in a Solid Fuel Combustion Chamber (SFCC) is reviewed. This model is intended to provide assistance in the design of SFCC's for, for example, ramjet or hybrid rocket propulsion. Experimental data obtained from numerous SFCC experiments are used as a basis. The determination of whether the model is capable of predicting SFCC performance adequately or to focus on the modeling improvements required to arrive at a valid model is addressed.
