The Oregon Statewide Transit Trip Planning Project is funded in part by the FY2001 Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Integration Program, a program designed to accelerate the integration and interoperability of ITS solutions in metropolitan and rural areas. Projects funded through the ITS program have been assessed as supporting the improvement of transportation efficiency, promoting safety, increasing traffic flow, reducing emissions of air pollutants, improving traveler information, enhancing alternative transportation modes, building on existing ITS projects, and/or promoting tourism. Oregon's Trip Planner was one of several projects selected for national evaluation. This document outlines the approach to be used for project evaluation.
