The future domestic market for floating facilities which provide or support municipal services was analyzed. An assessment of benefits to the maritime industry resulting from implementation of these floating projects was made. Case studies were performed for five concepts thought to have the greatest potential in terms of promoting growth within the U.S. maritime industry and most likely to be implemented between the present and the year 2000.
