The report was drawn up by the Technical Committee on Interurban Roads. The various topics covered in the national reports and the Committee members who examined them are: Design and drafting of projects; Environment problems; Safety; Geometrical standards; Level of service; Equipment and operation. The first part of the general report consists of an examination of national reports and draws together the main ideas. The second part sets out the preliminary conclusions which have been drawn from the analysis and synthesis of views.
