This report documents the test results of three heavy fuel engines designed to demonstrate that Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operational requirements can feasibly be met utilizing heavy fuels (JP-5, JP-8 and Diesel) versus gasoline. The three engines included rotary engines delivered by AA-I Corporation and Defense Group Industries Incorporated and a two cylinder, two stroke engine delivered by Southwest Research Institute. The testing was conducted at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Trenton during the period of 17 April 1992 through 22 January 1993.
