The aerodynamic characteristics of a vehicle traveling in a tube are an important consideration in the analysis of high speed ground transportation systems. This report presents a list of the important aerodynamic parameters; an analysis of the various flow assumptions available to the researcher; a breakdown of the problem into two regimes, near field and far field; and a detailed description of the numerical analysis of the one-dimensional unsteady flow problem.
