The Mk66 Mod 1 is a 2.75-inch rocket which uses three wrap-around fins for flight stabilization and roll control. Performance requirements made it necessary to closely control the spin history of the rocket over its trajectory so as to avoid a resonance region. The BRL performed a small yawsonde test program to measure the roll history and yaw behavior for selected fin configurations.
