The primary emphasis was to obtain infrared emission measurements during known auroral activity. Three balloon flights were made from Fairbanks, Alaska to accomplish this. On two of these flights moderate auroral activity occurred, but there was no enhancement in the emission spectrum from 9-14 micrometers. The time of night that these measurements were made was several hours earlier than the time when observations of enhanced infrared emission were made on 13 September 1969. A total of six balloon flights was conducted. Data from four of these flights is presented in this report and a summary of the data reports covering the other two flights is also included.
