The aircraft are described by means of nonlinear equations that will accommodate gross changes in angle of attack, pitch angle, flight path angle, velocity, and power setting. Aircraft motions in response to control inputs and external disturbances are related to Earth-fixed coordinates. The equations are programmed to run in 'real time' so that they can be used in conjunction with a manned cockpit simulator. Provisions are made for pilot control inputs to the simulation, and conventional panel display parameters are generated. The report includes representative simulation results which demonstrate that the simulation is an adequate representation of the two STOL aircraft being modeled. (Author)
