The Milwaukee County dual-mode systems study included participation by local government, regional planners, transportation consultants and industry. The study focuses on the dual-mode system in the context of a small, automated transit vehicle application that would logically be the forerunner of future urban dual-mode systems serving multiple vehicle classes. This report, Volume 4, contains the results of the dual-mode development-demonstration planning effort and includes a definition of urban demonstration objectives, a detailed supporting development plan, a budgetary estimate of program cost, and supporting technical data sufficient to permit implementation of a program without further study.
