The Milwaukee County dual-mode systems study is the result of a one-year study effort which included participation by local government, regional planners, transportation consultants and industry. The study focuses on the dual-mode system in the context of a small, automated transit vehicle application that would logically be the forerunner of future urban dual-mode systems serving multiple vehicle classes. This report, Volume 2, contains the results of a technical evaluation effort, including a technology survey, the definition of two systems and supporting design, analysis, and cost data. (Author)
