The objective of this thesis was to develop a computer program for use in evaluating data acquired from the Department of Aeronautics Cessna 310H model aircraft. The program was designed for use with the IBM 360 computer, in conjunction with a CALCOMP plotter. Using information taken from the engine curves for the aircraft, the program evaluates input data, determines the power required for flight at altitude, reduces the values to equivalent sea level values and outputs a graph of power versus velocity for level flight. Lift and drag coefficients are calculated as functions of aircraft weight, velocity, and power required, and are plotted on a second graph.
