Two amateur still cameras and an 8 mm motion picture camera were flown on a Black Brant II rocket launched from the Churchill Research Range in a recovery system test flight in January 1967. The recovery system was not entirely satisfactory, and parts of the payload were heavily damaged, but all exposed film, including both colour and black/white of the ground, was recovered. The photographs of the ground were useful in determining the attitude of the payload in flight. (Author)
