The space syndrome, the physiological effects of spacecraft life on the human body, and aspects of weightless environments are discussed. The inner ear equilibrium is analyzed. Treatment and prevention practices are described. It is concluded that it is a minor factor in the space adventure, not really dangerous, but a major handicap for manned space flight.
