Research was done on full-scale remote control crash testing of aircraft and to the development and testing of crash and postcrash fire inerting and suppression systems. Intensive activities were carried on in statistical analysis. Work continued in the training of crash injury investigators and in the field investigation of Army aircraft accidents.
