Several concepts of tire-induced damage and healing of soil road surfaces are related to significant new vehicle and tire developments. The report shows how developments create a new dimension for adjusting the tire/road contact to the road's condition. The possibilities of reversing the cyclic damage/healing effects of tires by inflation pressure changes and slip reductions should be significant.
