The National energy crisis of the U.S. can be responded to and diminished by the use of the large deposits of oil in the Arctic. The advantages and disadvantages of the submarine tankers as compared with the conventional methods of transportation such as surface tankers, tug-barges and oil pipe lines are discussed in detail.
