The report was prepared under a grant made to investigate the possibilities of establishing an organized system of training for the trucking industry. It discusses attempts to disseminate information on training, learned through operation of an experimental and demonstration project in Pico Rivera, California. It discusses problems of compliance and carry-over seniority for minorities. It indicates the intention of the Teamsters Union and the Trucking Employers, Inc. to establish a system of training for the trucking industry through contractual agreement.
