The Aero Propulsion and Power Technology Area is responsible for developing air breathing propulsion and power technology for Air Force use. Besides developing new technologies, product centers are supported by helping acquire systems and providing expertise to help solve developmental problems. current research and development includes aircraft gas turbine engines components, gas generators, technology demonstrator engines, fuels and lubricants), missile propulsion, solid fuel ramjets, ducted rockets, and small turbine engines) , aircraft and missile power (electrical ajid mechanical power generation, conditioning and distribution, energy storage, and thermal management), and plasma physics.
