The air quality impact of the proposed runaway expansion program at Stapleton International Airport is determined in this report. The method of analysis is to model the dispersion of pollutants from motor vehicles and aircraft under both 1-hour and 8-hour worst case conditions. Results show that aircraft pollution concentrations are reduced and in some cases completely disappear when the new runaways are added. This is caused primarily by a reduction in takeoff delays, which are a major objective of the runaway expansion programs at the report.
