The distribution of atmospheric ozone has been determined six times with this Center's rocket ozonesonde (ROCOZ) in conjunction with similar measurements from an ultraviolet monochromator on the OGO-IV satellite. These simultaneous measurements took place over the Barking Sands Facility of the Pacific Missile Range, Hawaii, during September and October 1967. The ROCOZ data, which appear in this report, show an ozone distribution from 20 to 52 km which is essentially unchanging during this time period. This distribution exhibits a maximum local concentration of 0.0198 atm-cm/km at 26 km, decreasing to 0.0025 atm-cm/km at 40 km and 0.00023 atm-cm/km at 50 km. (Author)
