The primary goal of this task is to identify the fuel properties, particularly sulfur content for different types and grades of marine diesel fuels. Also, any variations by region were developed. The secondary goal is to characterize the use patterns of these fuels. These included variation by region and any trend analysis. For both goals, efforts were made to present the information and discuss the results separately for commercial marine fuels and recreational marine fuels. In the process of conducting this task, ICF identified critical information about the types of diesel fuels used for commercial and recreational purposes.
