The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) continues to develop methods to increase the Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) percentage in its qualifying fleet and to enhance alternative fuel usage. This report represents CIA alternative fuel use and vehicle acquisition compliance for Fiscal Year 2009, pursuant to the requirements of the Energy Policy Act (EPAct) of 1992 (Public Law 102-486), as amended by the Energy Conservation Reauthorization Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-388) and Executive Order (E.O.) 13423, 'Strengthening Federal Environmental, Energy and Transportation Management' (72 FR 3919, signed on 24 January 2007). The CIA's Fleet Alternative Fuel Use and Vehicle Acquisition Report for 2010 will also include the requirements of E.O. 13514, 'Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance' (74 FR 194, signed on 8 October 2009).
