The aerodynamic and mechanical design aspects and the performance analysis for the TATER rocket system are discussed. The TATER is a three-stage, solid-propellant rocket system capable of boosting a 70-lb recoverable payload to velocities of 10,500 to 11,000 ft/s in approximately 12 seconds from launch with a maximum velocity altitude variation of 10,000-30,000 ft on an ascent trajectory.
