The liquid propellant apogee boost motor (ABM) proposed by MBB was theoretically investigated. Use was made of the ABM utilized for the Symphonie satellite. A nominal thrust of 392 Newton was developed. The propellant couple applied will be N2O4, NMH allowing operation down to -10 C instead of -6 C as with the N2O4, AZ50 used previously. The propellant is supplied by pressurized helium. A development program is proposed.
