The project involves the following development: Land acquisition for airport development and clear zones; construct, mark and light runway and parallel taxiway; construct access road; relocate power line. This development will provide a 24-hour landing area capable of accommodating all propeller and business jet aircraft with the ability to take off and land on a 5,000 foot runway. There will be a slight increase in air pollution due to the increase in aircraft operations and 'short term' adverse environmental effects that are normally associated with construction. (Author)
