TAGWAR is an event-oriented M-on-N model in which air defense system outputs are generated on the basis of a probabilistic analysis rather than a set of Monte Carlo runs. TAGWAR is currently capable of simulating up to eight attack aircraft penetrating a tactical area defended by up to ten SAM and AA gun defensive units. Digitized data of actual terrain can be used to simulate attack aircraft penetrating in a terrain following mode and to assess the effect of terrain masking on the defense units. The TAGWAR outputs include the CEP of each weapon delivered by the attack aircraft and the time-varying probability each aircraft is killed by the air defense system during the engagement. This volume is the Executive Summary. It includes an overview and description of the model, past and potential uses, and special TAGWAR features. (Author)
