Flight tests were made to demonstrate the feasibility of landing several types of fighter aircraft with unequally loaded fuel tip tanks. Successful landings were made with one full and one empty tip tank for the F-84G, F-86A, F-86F, F-89D, F-94C, and T-33 with 165 gallon underslung tip tanks. The T-33 with 230 gallon centerline tip tanks was flown with one full and one empty tip tank, but no attempt was made to land with that configuration. No attempt was made to fly the F-80 and F-94A aircraft. (Author)
