A correlation effort was completed to determine if the VEssel RESponse (VERES) program was suitable for predicting the motions of high-speed multi-hull vessels. Head and bow wave heave and pitch responses correlated reasonably well with available model test result, with VERES tending to over- predict response magnitudes as speed is increased. A limited study of the use of fins for motion control demonstrated the possibility of a large reduction in motion at high speed, using a set of four fins.
