The purpose of this report is to provide an assessment of the impact of Unmanned Systems technology on the doctrinal tenets of AirLand Battle. By defining the doctrinal tenets of AirLand Battle in a concise manner and then applying typical Unmanned Systems missions to the tenets, an understanding of how the systems support larger scale operations is gained. Further, a comparison between examples citing the use of Unmanned Systems in combat and examples of combat action before Unmanned Systems became available provides background and an appreciation of the timelessness of fundamental doctrine. Most important, the necessity of keeping current organizational and environmental doctrine with respect to technological change is conveyed.
