The study was designed to identify the principal traveler service problems in domestic intercity air, bus and rail transportation, and to develop recommendations for conducting further research. The first phase of the study focuses primarily on the inconvenienced passenger, who often is also the most inexperienced and uninformed traveler. The specific experiences and problems of the young, the elderly, the poor, the ill, and the handicapped traveler receive particular attention. (Author)
