Advanced aircraft operating in supersonic and hypersonic flight regimes impose many environmental problems on aircraft subsystems. Fire extinguishing equipment will be required to operate efficiently over a -65F to 500F temperature range. To meet this requirement, a full scale pyrotechnic fire extinguishing system was designed.
