The usage of a generalized IBM 7090/94 digital computer program is described here. With the program, vehicle performances throughout the entire flight regime of speed and altitude in the atmosphere and gravity field of a non-spherical rotating planet using six degrees of freedom may be computed. Various degrees of problem refinement may be analyzed. Flight control system and flight programmer simulation, and onboard rotating machinery may be represented. Other features of the program include: (1) A reverse-program option for aerodynamic analysis of flight test data. (2) A method of computing aerodynamic derivatives. (3) The option of punching certain values at requested intervals. (4) A semi-automatic tie-in to or from an interplanetary program. (Author)
