Percussive Test for Structure Response (PTSR) use is proposed for examining the integrity of railway bridge foundations. PTSR is a non-destructive time-saving test for measuring natural frequencies of bridge piers. The natural frequencies are good index for judging their integrity. Case studies of PTSR, standard natural frequency values and integrity index for railway bridge foundations are also presented. (Copyright (c) 1987 Railway Technical Research Institute.)
