The use of a common workstation and its associated software tools for the support of a planetary camera experiment for the efficient analysis and visualization of the expected Mars surface coverage together with the display of key imaging parameters is reported. As a concrete example, the imaging environment and operations of the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) is simulated. During the Mars 94 mission, this instrument will record selected image strips of the Martian surface.
