During the early spring of 1970 a 10,500-foot training runway located on the Big Cypress Swamp Jetport was opened for training flights. To monitor possible effects of these flights on the Big Cypress-Everglades environment, the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Geological Survey established a series of 14 sampling stations in the vicinity of the jetport. The report presents the data collected at the nine stations which were sampled by EPA during the period May, 1970, through February, 1971.
