The purpose of the conference was to bring together individuals who shared a common interest in the application of advanced technologies in public transportation. Although the papers and presentations at the conference covered a variety of topics, workshop sessions and summaries have been arranged according to three major categories: Customer Service Technologies, Transit and Traffic Operations Technologies, and Facility Operations and Vehicle Technologies. These proceedings are intended to be a useful resource for transportation and transit professionals, policy makers and others interested in the application of advanced technologies in public transportation.
