A detailed description of the design, operation, and maintenance of the Integrated Test Vehicle (ITV) including instruments and controls, economy, safety and security, troubleshooting, and specifications is given. The ITV employs a dc traction motor and 18 lead-acid batteries which provide a nominal voltage of 108 Vdc. A microcomputer controls many vehicle electrical functions. The ITV is a four-passenger subcompact weighing 3320 lb curb weight with the capacity of carrying a 600 lb payload. The driving range is 75 miles on urban cycle, and the vehicle is equipped with a regenerative braking system. (ERA citation 06:028929)
