One of the important aspects in vehicle dynamics simulation is accurate modeling of the tire-road interaction forces because the movement of the vehicle depends on the forces and moments applied to the tires. Many vehicle simulation programs such as MSC Software ADAMS, Altair HyperWorks MotionSolve, etc. use the Magic Formula (MF) developed by Pacejka to model tires. In order to use these applications more effectively, a tool was developed using MATLAB to quickly calculate and plot the forces and moments represented by the tire coefficients. The tool is consistent with expected results in determining the tire-road interaction forces. This report describes the structure of the program and how to use the Pacejka Plot Tool to plot the forces and moments from the coefficients using the PAC2002 MF tire model.
