The objective of this project is to initiate the development of an analysis capability for seat structures subject to a crash accident. This project will assess the performance of the SOM-LA computer program in terms of its capability to accurately analyze this problem. The project will also develop an interface between this analysis program and the data acquisition software used in the Impact Sled Laboratory at the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University.
