The report is concerned with the design of a cockpit instrument display that should facilitate the solution of problems the pilot would have in navigation. The display should be useful in enroute navigation in general and in close-in procedures in particular. The display is of a 'pictorial' nature, providing the pilot with continuous information concerning the relationship in horizontal space of the aircraft to ground points. (Author)
